viii. appearance ;; emberstar's pelt consists of a very pale cream, almost white, base coat. her fur is of short length and is therefore always smoothed down against her sides. the pale cream, almost white leader possesses a large scar stretching from the left underside of her stomach to the top of her left shoulder. it was something she received when she was a young warrior and she wears the scar with pride, seeing as she was able to survive such an injury. aside from the scar, emberstar possesses brown socks on her front legs.

emberstar possesses a black-as-night nose that completes the end of a short-medium length muzzle. her eyes are a beautiful glacier blue, darkening to an ocean blue when angry, upset, or saddened. she bears a pitch black pupil and a beautiful tortoiseshell face. she has a slim build with long, slender legs. she has a sleek, slender tail that helps her to keep her balance and long, white whispers, silver whiskers pointing off her muzzle.

emberstar gets her beautiful coat from her mother, swanfeather. her hazel eyes and small size are also compliments to her mother. the only thing emberstar believes she received from her father is the tortoiseshell markings she possesses and his loyal nature to his clan. she believes she got her beauty from her mother, yet she knows she isn't the prettiest female around. despite it not being in her nature to be insecure about such things, the one thing she can't help but to be insecure about is her looks.

ix. personality ;; emberstar is best known for her loyalty. she is loyal to a fault, yet her loyalty stretches farther than her clan. she is loyal to those who are close friends of hers and will go as far as breaking the warrior code for them without hesitation. she understands the warrior code is there for a good reason, yet part of her believes it's there to get her to turn her back on those important to her. she knows she should protect the clan with her life, and that is what she will do, but she will not hesitate to protect a friend from her own clanmates if need be. it was something she was taught by her adoptive mother and it's something she not only wishes to honor, but strongly believes in as well.

she is very blunt and outspoken with her opinions. she doesn't like to hold her tongue for anyone unless it's absolutely necessary. she is a strong believer in the saying, "honesty is the best policy." her blunt, straight-forward nature hails from the fact that her family was torn apart by lies her mother fabricated. swanfeather pretended to love warblersong, refusing to tell him the truth until emberstar was born. this fact allowed emberstar to discover that she didn't want to be like her mother - didn't want to be a liar. and so, her blunt nature was born.

a noteworthy trait of the young leader is her fair-minded nature. she's known as such because she doesn't judge too quickly. she likes to hear both sides of the story before she makes judgement, and even then she's hesitant to do so. she often attempts to put herself in the others' position to determine whether or not she would've done the same. then, and only then, will she even consider passing judgement.

emberstar can be...oh, how to put it...a bit belligerent at times. it all depends, really, on who she is around before her hostility and aggression will begin to show itself. her belligerent nature is something that has been with her since birth, a sharp reminder that even though she tried her hardest to portray a gentle exterior, there is still a fierce she-cat harboring deep within her, willing to come out at a moment's notice.

since that incident, esperclan warriors have not seen the rogues. no longer worrying about the rogues, emberstar turned her attention to her clan and the problems they seem to be encountering with starclan.[/ul]

xii. rp sample ;; the young leader was settled down in her den, sleeping quite peacefully and dreaming of the times when her family was whole [save swanfeather]. it brought a smile to her face, yet it soon dropped as foxspirit's voice broke through her dream world, panicked.

"emberstar! emberstar, get up!" the cream-pelted she-cat's eyes popped open and she made quick work of getting to her feet, her gaze adjusting to the darkness of her den as she looked at foxspirit, waiting for him to tell her what was wrong. what he said, however, brought forth the warrior side that had harbored deep within her since her deputy days.

"tristeclan warriors crossed the border. from what we've seen, there's two patrols heading towards camp." it was no surprise that foxspirit was the one to catch this - he had a tendency of late night strolls through the territory. as always, emberstar took this news in stride. she walked briskly out of her den, flicking her tail for foxspirit to follow as she spoke.

"what in starclan's name are they thinking? wake the warriors and apprentices. i doubt they'll get far in camp, but in case they do set up a few guards in front of the nursery. i'll wake the elders and get them moved." foxspirit nodded and broke away from emberstar as she headed towards the elder's den, slipping inside with ease and gently waking the elders. she informed them of the situation and quickly moved them into the nursery, where the queens were now wide awake and curled around their kits in a protective manner.

her clanmates were moving swiftly and silently as they readied themselves, although emberstar had other plans in mind. esperclan warriors, of course, knew their own territory better than tristeclan warriors did. standing in front of the entrance to camp, she beckoned the available warriors and apprentices to her.

"we know our territory better than they. foxspirit informed me that there were only two groups heading towards camp, so that has given me the idea that we can easily split into four groups and overpower them." she formed her own patrol, then foxspirit's, and then the other two groups. those that were not included were left to guard the camp in case her plan failed, which she doubted it would.

with a flick of her tail, emberstar and her warriors silently slipped out of camp and went to face the oncoming threat.
